The First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan E.N.Bedertdinov spoke in a live broadcast of "Clean Tatarstan" program. It was about the activities carried out by the foresters in the framework of the Year of Ecology, the importance of nature protection campaigns, the ecological education of the population and the activities of school forestry divisions. Environmental education of citizens is one of the missions of foresters. Annually specialists of the Ministry and subordinate institutions hold Lessons of Forest in the schools of the republic, where they tell the children about the rules of behavior in the forest, about the careful attitude to the environment. This year more than 1 thousand lessons were held in educational institutions of each district of the Republic. In the framework of environmental education, the Ministry carries out the campaigns "Clean forests of Tatarstan", "Forest planting day", "A Week of Forest", various children's competitions of ecological orientation, issues handouts - posters, booklets, leaflets on fire-prevention subjects and many other measures.

Also, the conversation turned to the auctions for the sale of the right to conclude a contract for the sale of forest plantations to small and medium-sized businesses. Such auctions are held at the Ministry 2 - 3 times a month, 16 have been held since the beginning of the year, about 70 entrepreneurs took part there. The First Deputy Minister noted that these auctions contribute in maintaining the sanitary state of forests.
