Ravil Kuzyurov held a seminar-meeting with subordinate institutions in Elabuga
The Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan held a seminar-meeting on the topic “Summing up the results of silvicultural season 2018” in the territory of the State Public Institution “Elabuzhskiy Forest District”.
During the event, the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the Head of Elabuzhskiy municipal district, Gennady Emelyanov, heads of forestry of the republic visited one of the best forest nurseries of the Republic of Tatarstan, which is located on the territory of the State Budgetary Institution “Elabuzhskiy Forestry Enterprise”. The nursery has a rich assortment of tree species - about 40 items, including blue spruce, Serbian spruce, pyramidal spruce, chokeberry, and others. In the course of familiarization with the nursery, high-ranking guests were shown a technique for keeping a nursery farm. The seminar participants familiarized themselves with the dendrological garden of Mendeleevskiy district forestry, visited the National Park "Lower Kama" and the tourist complex "Malyi Bor".
During his working visit, Ravil Kuzyurov also met with the Head of Mendeleevskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan, Valeriy Chershintsev.
The meeting continued in the assembly hall of the Kosmos sanatorium, where the results of the work of silvicultural season were summed up and the results of financial and economic activities of subordinate institutions of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan for 10 months were announced. For example, the volume of wood supply to KASTAMONU plant amounted to 480.6 thousand cubic meters, to Zelenodolsk plywood plant - 38 thousand cubic meters.
During the seminar-meeting, Ravil Kuzyurov focused on the state of forest nurseries of the republic. “One of the priorities of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan is forest nurseries”, said the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. - Nurseries help us carry out our work - to preserve and increase the forest wealth of Tatarstan. Work in this direction should be performed constantly and with special efforts”.
For reference: currently there are 50 permanent forest nurseries in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Forest Selection and Seed Center operates. At the end of 2018, more than 30 million pieces of standard planting material were grown there. This is mainly pine ordinary - 11.8 million, European spruce - 6.6 million, Siberian larch - 5.1 million, common oak - 1 million, weeping birch - 3 million pieces.
