Head-Forester of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan "Arskiy Forest District" delivered a report in the Arsk District House of Culture
Head-Forester of the SPI of RT “Arskiy Forest District”, Shamil Khairullin, made a report in the Arsk District Culture House during a meeting of citizens with representatives of the State Autonomous Healthcare Institution “Republican Clinical Hospital”.
During his report, Shamil Khairullin spoke about the results of work of the institution in 2018 and the tasks for the current year. So, on the territory of the forest district, work on reforestation was carried out on the area of 90 hectares, laying of anti-erosion protective forest stands - on the area of 39 hectares. “In addition, 57 hectares of protective forest stands were laid as part of the program “Afforestation of the banks of small rivers-tributaries of the Kazanka River”, said Shamil Khairullin.
According to him, last year, 118 kg of seeds of conifers were harvested, more than 1.1 million pieces of standard planting material were grown.
Shamil Khairullin shared his experience in production of planting material of spruce and pine in greenhouses with polyethylene coating. Among the advantages of this method, he outlined a reduction in the time of cultivation by 2 times, an increase in output from 1 hectare and a reduction in material and labor costs.
At the end of the report, Shamil Khairullin informed those present about the changes in the Forest Code of the Russian Federation and preparation for the fire-hazardous season in the forests.
