A ministerial meeting was held at the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today, a ministerial meeting was held at the Ministry, where the course of execution of instructions was discussed, and tasks for the future were set. It was held by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuzyurov. The event was attended by deputy ministers, heads and specialists of departments of the Ministry.
The meeting participants reported to the Minister about the ongoing sanitary and recreational activities, development of the estimated cutting area, supply of wood to the republic’s enterprises, development and implementation of the geographic information system of the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, recruitment of applicants at the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College, etc.
After listening to the reports, the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuziurov, instructed employees to strengthen control over prevention and detection of violations of forest legislation and to pay special attention to the development of the school forestry movement. “School forest districts have established themselves as one of the most effective forms of educating students in general education institutions and their involvement in environmental activities. Today there are 66 such associations in the republic, where more than 1,400 people involved. Our task is to create 50 new school forest districts in a year”, the Minister emphasized.
