Within the framework of the Year of Specially Protected Natural Reservations, a holiday dedicated to the Bird Day was held at the Bolgarskaya Secondary School No. 1, Spassky Municipal District, Republic of Tatarstan. The State Environmental Protection Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Spassky Nature Sanctuary Murzak L.A. took part in the event. In her speech she noted: “With the advent of spring, our friends, migratory birds, return to us. They attract us by their fancy feathers, singing, movements, flying, and, of course, a mysterious way of life. Birds are everywhere – above us, around us, away from and nearby. One can meet them in the forest, in the field, on the river, and in the mountains. There are a lot of birds in nature. Birds dear to us not only for the great benefit they provide, but also as an adornment of our wonderful homeland. We need to protect them, to protect and multiply all the natural resources, so that our whole planet would be a beautiful and huge garden. Take care of birds!”.

During the event, the children learned a lot about not only the life of birds, but also how to take care of the surrounding world.

The children told poems about birds, sang songs, solved riddles, and submitted bird houses for the contest. For the best “Bird house” the children were awarded diplomas of the sanctuary. At the end of event, all birdhouses were hung in the schoolyard.
