A briefing on topic “About fire danger periods in forests in 2017” was held in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan

On August 15, 2017 a briefing on topic “About fire danger periods in forests in 2017” was held in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan with participation of E.N.Bedertdinov – a First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and T.V.Karimullin – a First Deputy Head of the Main Department of the Russian Federation Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the course of briefing the speakers told to the media representatives about the work performing in order to prevent forest fires. Emir Bedertdinov noted that owing to cooperative work there were no forest fires in the Republic of Tatarstan for 7 years in succession.

As of August 15, 2017 in the Republic of Tatarstan 258 thermo-points were recorded, in all cases on-site investigations were carried out, all appropriate measures were taken.

Currently a strict control in order to prevent bonfires building, burning of refuse, harvested field, slashes, dried grass, leaves and rushes, and all types of fire-hazardous works, is performing.

607 groups consisting of police officers, employees of fire-fighting departments, self-governing authorities, voluntary fire guards and Cossack formations, with overall number of more than 2.3 thousand people were formed for patrolling the settlements in order to restraint burnings and timely detect fires. From the beginning of the fire danger period 184 cases of dried grass fires were prevented by efforts of these groups. Violation of rules of fire safety in forests is punishable by warning or administrative fine in the amount of from 1 thousand 500 rubles to 3 thousand rubles for citizens; from 10 thousand to 20 thousand rubles for public officials; from 50 thousand to 200 thousand rubles for legal entities.
