The State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kyzyl-Yulduzsky forestry” is harvesting coniferous seeds
Employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kyzyl-Yulduzsky forestry” are harvesting coniferous seeds as part of the state assignment for 2021. “At present, Scotch pine cones are being collected, ‒ said the director of the forestry enterprise Albert Zakirov. ‒ To date, 4 tons of cones have been harvested, 1.2 tons of them have been processed, 15 kg of unrefined seeds have been obtained. The seed yield from cones was more than 1%”.
“In total, according to the plan this year it is necessary to collect 590 kg of seeds. By joint efforts it will be fulfilled,” added Albert Zakirov.
It should be reminded that the harvesting of seeds of forest plants is an additional indicator of the regional project “Preservation of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the federal project “Preservation of forests” of the national project “Ecology”. The design value of the indicator for 2021 is 11.4 thousand kg of seeds.
