University Innopolis hosted a meeting on digital transformation of the forestry complex
Today in ANO VO “University Innopolis” a meeting was held in the mode of videoconference on the issues of digital transformation of the forestry complex. The event was attended by the chief analyst of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Roslesinforg”, the head of the “Rosleskhoz” project group for the implementation of the provisions of Federal Law No. 415-FZ dated December 28, 2013, Alexander Mariev, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Buryatia Sergey Matveev, First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, General Director of LLC “Innogeotech” Alexander Khasanov and others.
During the meeting, issues of digital transformation of the forestry industry, implementation of the Federal Law of February 4, 2021 No. 3-FZ, the creation of a federal state information system of the forestry complex (FSIS LK), etc. were discussed. The experience of the Republic of Tatarstan, Irkutsk Region and Perm Territory was also considered. in terms of the use of digital technologies in forestry.
Vasily Chernov, Acting Head of the State Forest Register, Forest Use and Forest Inventory Department of the Ministry, made a report on the progress of digitalization of the forestry complex of the Republic of Tatarstan. He spoke about the developed and implemented in the republic the Geoinformation system of the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and the service for monitoring and control of the state of the forest fund based on remote sensing data. “These tools allow timely identification of changes in the territory of the forest fund, including illegal logging of forest stands, burnt out forest areas, quarries, areas with forest pathology, illegally erected buildings and structures,” said Vasily Chernov.
According to him, a further step in the digitalization of the industry will be the transfer of a number of public services provided by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan to electronic form. “At present, testing is underway, and this project is planned to be implemented this year, ‒ added Vasily Chernov. ‒ There are also plans to update the computer park and technical equipment of the Ministry and its subordinate institutions, finalize the GIS of the forest fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and the system for accounting for the forest complex of the Republic of Tatarstan.”
