The Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan considered issues of preventing conflicts of interest in subordinate institutions

Today, the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a videoconference meeting on the prevention of conflicts of interest in subordinate institutions. It was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Rais Gumerov, head foresters, directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.

Elvira Ziyatdinova, Head of the Civil Service and Personnel Sector of the Ministry, made a keynote speech at the meeting. “In the third quarter of this year, the sector carried out work on updating the personal data of the heads of subordinate institutions, analyzing and identifying a possible conflict of interest,” she said. “I remind you that the heads of forestry and forestry enterprises are obliged to take measures to prevent the emergence of a conflict of interest and promptly notify the employer about the situation in writing”.

“I would add that a specialist cannot work in a forestry or forestry enterprise in case of close relationship or property with another employee if the position is filled with direct subordination or control of one of them to another. Close relatives include parents, spouses, children, brothers, sisters,” concluded Elvira Ziyatdinova.

First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov summed up the meeting. “A conflict of interest or the risk of its occurrence is very dangerous for efficient operation,” he said. “You, as leaders, must strictly monitor the situation”.
