Employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the Forest Selection and Seed Center in Voronezh
As part of the exchange of experience on growing planting material with a closed root system, a working group of employees of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan visited the Forest Selection and Seed Center in Voronezh. In addition, the foresters of Tatarstan got acquainted with the work of the microclonal laboratory on the basis of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Forest Genetics, Selection and Biotechnology.
The Scientific Research Institute of Forest Genetics and Selection was founded in 1971 to carry out research to develop new and improve existing methods for selecting high-yield and sustainable forms of woody plants, developing and breeding varieties based on forest genetics, selection, seed production and introduction.
