Gulnara Mukhamethanova, the Head of the Bugulminskiy Forest District, became the winner of the contest “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: A Woman's View”
A ceremony of awarding the winners of the Republican contest “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: A Woman's View” took place in the city of Kazan at Big Concert Hall named after S.Saidashev. The event was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Advisor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiyev, Director-General of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay, Chairman of the Regional Public Organization “Women of Tatarstan” Zilya Valeyeva and others.
“A woman plays a big role in society, and in general our whole life is connected with a family. You are the most active and advanced, you contribute to the development of your localities, Tatarstan and Russia. Thank you very much”, said the RT President Rustam Minnikhanov, addressing those present.
Audrey Azoulay, in turn, noted that she was lucky to visit the capital of Tatarstan on the eve of such a holiday as International Women's Day. “I am especially happy because one of the priorities of UNESCO is equality between a man and a woman. So that women can make their choice, decide their fate. We are fighting for the qualitative education of women. I am sure that we can count on Russia and Tatarstan in this respect”, she stressed.
As is known, the contest “Woman of the Year. Man of the Year: A Woman's View” has been held by the Regional Public Organization “Women of Tatarstan” since 1995. It is aimed to identify and present to the society women who have made a significant contribution to the social and economic development of the republic, in support of culture, spirituality, upbringing of the younger generation and strengthening of the family. In accordance with the provisions of the competition, it has a municipal and zonal tours. Over 600 applications were submitted to the organizing committee for this competition.
Today the winners in 8 female nominations were announced: "Woman - Mother", "Woman - Culture and Spirituality", "Woman - Scientist", "My Destiny is my Profession", "Woman - Leader", "Woman - Business Woman", "Heroine of the Third Age", "Woman - Example of the Year" and 2 men nominations - "Man - Leader" and "Man - Noble Heart".
Among the distinguished women was Gulnara Mukhametkhanova, a representative of the forest industry - the Head-Forester of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bugulminskiy Forest District”. She became the winner in nomination "Woman - Example of the Year".
Gulnara Mukhametkhanova has experience in the industry for over 20 years. In her labor activity, she worked as a forest master, a forest use engineer in the SPI of RT “Bugulminskiy Forest District”. Since 2012, Gulnara Mukhametkhanova has been occupying the post of Head-Forester.
According to colleagues, Gulnara Mukhametkhanova is an initiative, purposeful, energetic, hardworking and responsible leader. Along with the implementation of all planned forestry work in the SPI of RT “Bugulminskiy Forest District”, great attention is paid to vocational guidance of schoolchildren. Thus, the supervised school forestry "Green Patrol" of Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution "Yutazinskaya Secondary General Education School" is one of the active associations, its students participate in various competitions, promotions and conduct a lot of their activities. Thanks to the work done by Gulnara Mukhamethanova, a school forestry will also appear in Bugulminskiy district - on the basis of the MBEI “Secondary General Education School No. 5 with in-depth study of certain subjects” (Bugulma town).
“My life motto is “Everything can be learned and everything can be achieved, but in any situation you need to be a human being”. Most of my time, of course, I give to my work”, Gulnara Mukhamethanova admits. - Children have already grown up - my daughter is working, and the son is studying at a college in the city of Oktyabrsk, Republic of Bashkortostan. I love to cook when I have time, I try to surprise my family with my culinary “masterpieces”. I also strive to read more. Another passion of mine is cars. I like the driving process itself, unfortunately, I don’t understand all the subtleties, but I can change the wheel myself ”.

For many years of work and professionalism, Gulnara Mukhametkhanova was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Head of Bugulminskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan (2016), the Letter of Gratitude from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan (2016) and others.
