The Ministry discussed the tasks for the second quarter of 2019 during a video conference
Today, the Ministry held a meeting in the form of a videoconference on the issues of work within the framework of the sanitary-ecological bimonthly period, fire-hazardous and silvicultural season of 2019. It was held by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. The meeting was attended by deputy ministers, heads and specialists of departments of the Ministry, Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Forest Fire Center”, head-foresters and directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.
The main report at the meeting was made by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Emir Bedertdinov.
He recalled that the sanitary-ecological bimonthly period in the Republic of Tatarstan started on April 1 this year. “Our task is to take an active part in this period and strengthen control over the cleaning of forests, identification and elimination of unauthorized dumps on the territory of the forest fund”, said Amir Bedertdinov.
The speaker added that forestry specialists should conduct raids at least twice a week (on Wednesday and Saturday) and submit reports to the Ministry.
“Another important issue is the beginning of the fire hazardous season in forests. During this period, it is necessary to multiply the frequency of patrols in forests. To monitor the fire danger in forests, each of you has access to the information system”, said Emir Bedertdinov, addressing forest managers.
Also, the First Deputy Minister called on the meeting participants to strengthen control over the implementation of fire prevention measures (construction and reconstruction of forest roads designed to protect forests from fires, laying fire-fighting mineralized belts), as well as outreach work among the population on compliance with fire safety regulations in forests. According to him, in 2019, it is planned to prepare and distribute more than 15 thousand information leaflets, install 30 plates on fire prevention topics.
At the end of the report, Emir Bedertdinov dwelled on the issues of forest cultivation in 2019 and implementation of the federal project “Forest conservation”, which is part of the national project “Ecology”.
The Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov summed up the meeting. “In the framework of the sanitary-ecological month, I ask you to pay special attention to the forest fund areas adjacent to the settlements”, the Minister said. - With regard to the fire-hazardous season, forest managers should understand that your first steps are crucial in preventing the transfer of fire (the same agricultural trees) to the forest fund. This is both the promptness of communicating information and interaction on the sites”.
